@maskedphrogg No, I think we are agreeing on the same principles and approaches. My original statement was made to suggest that public officials are the sole contributors to the content of campaign adds. We should not have private interests contributing to or influencing those campaigns. By only having those who are legally obliged to the public produce such, we have a more active and direct accountability and participation among the public in this domain.

I have been to the White House propaganda site, and it’s more of the same. Obama good, Republicans bad, “blame Bush”, spend more, etc. etc. etc. Partisan attacks are not evidence of transparency. Well, I am happy this “measure” failed, because I don’t think it was an effort in transparency. It was an effort to subvert the 1st amendment, and rewrite election rules less than 100 days before the November Congressional elections. Barry is transparently self serving if anything!
